Contestant Fast Facts
To be a contestant you must
- Be a single and never married woman.
- Be 17 years old, a high school graduate within 6 months of first pageant, and no older than 24 years on December 31 of the year you compete/win the state title.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Meet residency requirements for competing in the State of Maine - full time resident, full time student or full time employee in the State of Maine.
- Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization.
- Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
- Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as a possible title holder.
