Tara is the daughter of Daniel and Kathleen Allain of Worcester, Massachusetts. She is majoring in Biology at Colby College. Her ambition is to obtain a PhD in biology and pursue a career in the biomedical field. Tara’s platform issue is Habitat for Humanity: Building Homes, Building Character. She will perform a lyrical dance entitled “Hangin’ by a Thread” for her talent competition.

Karen is the daughter of Allen and Brenda Bartlett of Gray and Windham, Maine. She is majoring in Business at Central Maine Community College. Karen’s ambition is to become a successful woman at owning her own business. Her platform issue is Save a Life, Adopt a Pet. She will perform a ballet piece to the music “Estudiantina” for the talent competition.

Her platform issue is Women’s Heart Disease. She will perform a belly dance to an Egyptian version of “I Will Survive” for the talent competition.

Maryann is the daughter of Tom and Melody Christensen of Bath, Maine. She will be obtaining her degree in May 2007 in Government from Clark University. Her ambition is to get her masters in Non Profit Management. Maryann’s platform issue is Awareness for Representation of Women in Government. She will perform a vocal to “As If We Never Said Goodbye” for the talent competition.

Jona is the daughter of Sue White of Bath, Maine. She has a degree in Communications from the New England School of Communications. Jona’s ambition is to become an on air radio personality and be successful in the music industry. Her platform issue is Keep A.A.T.I.T.: Adolescent Awareness Through Interactive Theatre. She will perform singing/ songwriting to “Sound from a Stranger’s Mouth (Kiss Me)” for the talent competition.

Kimberly is the daughter of Scott and Jill Cyrway of Benton, Maine. She is majoring in Sociology/Crime, Law and Deviance at the University of Maine, Orono. Her ambition is to graduate college and to pursue a career in law enforcement or work for the United States Postal Service. Kimberly’s platform issue is D.A.R.E.: Drug Abuse Resistance Education. She will perform a tap dance to the “Jellicle Ball” from the Broadway show CATS for her talent competition.

Her ambition is to work in the film and television industry and one day work for Oprah Winfrey. Her platform issue is Reaching Out With Music. She will perform a vocal selection entitled “Something To Talk About” for the talent competition.

Brittany is the daughter of Linda and Raymond Dunbar of Corea, Maine. She is majoring in Music Business at Belmont University. Her ambition is to graduate from Belmont with a bachelor’s degree and continue her education at law school, studying intellectual property. Her platform issue is Arthritis: Coping and Curing. Brittany will perform a vocal selection entitled “Love Sick Blues”for the talent competition.

Erika is the daughter of Donald and Jacki Hoffman of Washington D.C. She is majoring in Furniture Design at Maine College of Art. Her ambition is to design for Public Spaces and the Mass Transit. Her platform issue is Fostering Art Education for Children. Erika will perform a violin solo of traditional fiddle melodies for the talent competition.

Arikka is the daughter of Butch and Wanda Knights of Chester, Maine. Arikka is majoring in Mass Communications from Franklin Pierce College. Her ambition is to become a recognized and respected evening news anchor on an accredited television news station. She also inspires to be a strong public figure and advocate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Her platform issue is Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She will perform a Tap routine to “Jumpin’ Jack” by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy for the talent competition.

Rena is the daughter of Leonard and Lisa Mendez of Topsham, Maine. She is majoring in Political Science, Spanish and International Relations at the University of Southern Maine. Rena’s ambition is to go on to law school and study immigration law to eventually become an immigration judge. Her platform issue is Promoting Global Education. She will perform a vocal selection entitled “Habanera” (Carmen) for the talent competition.

Her platform issue is the March of Dimes: Big Miracles Come In Small Packages. Chelsie will perform a martial arts routine for the talent competition.

Kayla is the daughter of Rose and Joe Murphy of Brunswick, Maine. Kayla is a double major in Business Management and Marketing at Elmira College. Her ambition is to complete her majors, graduate with honors and go on to become an event coordinator and promotional director. Her platform issue is Children and Literacy. She will perform a ballet / theatrical dance to the selection “Two Worlds”, from the movie Tarzan, for the talent competition.

Adrienne’s ambition is to become a professional symphonic violinist as well as a teacher. Her platform issue is The Importance of the Arts in Society through String Education. She will perform Paganini Caprice #13 for Solo Violin for the talent competition.
